SUMMARY:CHRISTMAS DAY LUNCH FOR THE ELDERLY 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Rotary Club of Barnet supported by volunteers held their annual Christmas Day lunch for the Elderly who would otherwise be on their own. The lunch was held at Ewen Hall\, Wood Street\, High Barnet. \nChristmas lunch and musical entertainment was provided. Gifts were given to the persons attending. We had just under 50 guests who enjoyed the meal and the entertainment. \nThe Mayor of Barnet Councillor Danny Rich joined us\, wishing all a happy Christmas and staying for the meal and the entertaiment. Also attending was the District Governor Adrian Faiers. \nThe Rotary Club of Barnet thanks all the volunteers who had helped with the driving as well as preparing and serving the meal. Also thanks go to the entertainer. \nFunding for the event is provided by fundraising by the Rotary Club of Barnet.

SUMMARY:CROCUS PLANTING AT THE CRICKLEWOOD MILLENIUM GREEN 05/11/2025
DESCRIPTION:We had a very successful planting of 4\,000 crocuses at the Cricklewood Millenium Green on the 5th of November 2025. This event was carried out by the Rotary Clubs of Barnet and Golders Green. \nBased on the efficient planting of the members of the Rotary Club of Barnet most of the 4\,000 crocuses were planted within 2 hours. We look forward to a sensational view of the blooms early next year. \nThank you to Harrington Gardeners (Registered Charity) who helped prepare the site and also helped during the day. Also thank you to the 6 or 7 young volunteers who also helped with the planting. \nFinally thanks to Rabia Lingermann who manages the Millenium Green and is a member of the Rotary Club of Golders Green. \n

SUMMARY:EAST BARNET FESTIVAL
DESCRIPTION:The East Barnet Festival has taken place on the 5th and 6th of July 2025. Our Rotary Club had a 3m x 3m Pitch for the 5th of July only. We were selling a variety of plants for sale. These plants were mainly grown by our members. \nWe had a very nice day with 7 members attending the event plus 2 volunteers from the North London Hospice. We managed to sell most of the plants that we had at our stall. \nThe profits and donations from the sale of the plants were donated to the North London Hospice. A thank you letter was sent by the North London Hospice confirming that the total amount donated by the sale of the plants was £392. \nWe thank the North London Hospice for all their services that the provide to the local community.
