Barnet Rotarians on Monday said farewell to Takumi Mito our Rotary Foundation Scholar from Japan who has completed his Master Degree studying at UCL.
Takumi who is off to Bangkok for a three month internship with UNESCO hopes then to go to Jordan to work with UNRWA (the United Nations Agency in Palestine). He explained to the Club the areas he had been studying for the last year especially the education of girls and had spent two weeks in Sierra Leone examining the progress made in that Country.
He thanked Rtn Scott MacLachlan and his wife Verity in particular for mentoring him whilst in London and said he had particularly enjoyed the Radlett Carol Service they had taken him to at Christmas!
Barnet Rotary Club wished him well for his future career.
