Well known Broadcaster and TV Personality George Lamb (son of actor Larry Lamb )was the speaker at Barnet Rotary Club on Monday 29th July. George, star of Big Brother’s Little Brother and many other shows, was not there to speak about his entertainment career but to introduce his project GROW at the Totteridge Academy.
George is pioneering a project which features teaching the Schools pupils about food, farming and wellbeing as well as developing a “City Farm” on vacant land adjoining the school. The project has recently received a £50,000 grant from the Mayor of London and Barnet Rotarians asked many questions and expressed support for the work being done.
