Tony Lloyd on the new Youth Zone Park Burnt Oak

Barnet Rotary Club members had a great talk last night from Tony Lloyd the Chief Executive of Unitas, the Charity which has built and runs the £6 million Youth Zone in Montrose Park Burnt Oak.

Barnet Council contributed £4 million of the build costs and the rest was raised from Private Donors. Unitas runs the centre without a Council grant and 5000 young people have paid £5 a year to belong . It provides traditional youth Club type activities as well as a subsidised canteen and other facilities .

Rotarians were impressed by Tony’s enthusiasm and knowledge and wished him well with the project.
